Behringer X32 + Midas DL32
IEM mix guide
New to self-mixing, or just want a refresher? Start with the steps below, then use the starting-point levels further down as your reference during soundcheck.
How to mix your own ears — step by step
Get connected
P16 users: adjust your mix directly on the P16 personal mixer — no app needed. Xvive users: connect your phone to the RCOG_Worship network and open MX-Q, MXBus, or M32-Q. Select your bus (Stage Left = Bus 4, Center = Bus 5, Right = Bus 6). Ask Tom if you're not sure which one is yours.
Start with your own sound
Bring your own instrument or voice up first — around 90–100%. This is your foundation. Everything else gets layered in around it, so it should never disappear.
Add your timing and pitch reference
Bring in Click if you play a rhythm instrument (drums, bass, guitar), and Pad if you sing or play something melodic. On P16 these are dedicated slots (13 and 14). On Xvive, Click and Pad aren't automatic — pull them into your own mix via the app if you want them.
Layer in the rest of the band
Add Tom's talkback so you can hear cues, then bring up whatever else helps you feel connected — kick/bass for groove, lead vocal to follow the song. Use the starting percentages further down this page as a reference point, not a rule.
Fine-tune at soundcheck
Trust your ears over the numbers. Too loud? Pull it down. Can't hear the click? Push it up. There's no wrong answer except a mix that doesn't work for you — ask for help if something feels off.
